Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in land, topographical or measured building surveying.
  • Proven ability to deliver topographical surveys independently.
  • Experience with measured building surveys using laser scanners and/or traditional methods.

Surveyor - Land & MBS

Location: Berkshire

Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:30pm (site hours may vary, with overtime and occasional weekends)

The OpportunityTXM Recruit is working in partnership with aleading UK engineering surveying consultancy, part of a wider infrastructure group, to recruit Surveyors for their Land Department based in Wokingham.

Our client is a national engineering surveying business delivering topographical, measured building, underground utility, monitoring and site engineering surveys across a network of ten UK offices. Their teams support major construction and infrastructure projects, providing the engineering certainty required to deliver complex schemes safely and efficiently.

As a Surveyor, you will work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams delivering topographical and measured building surveys across a wide variety of sites and sectors. The role combines site-based data capture, office-based processing, and supporting the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver topographical and measured building surveys of varying size and complexity to a high standard
  • Take the lead on large and complex projects, coordinating multiple survey teams
  • Provide clear technical guidance and instructions to team members
  • Process multi-dataset survey information, including topographical and building data
  • Maintain survey instrumentation and equipment to required standards
  • Carry out site inspections and dynamic risk assessments
  • Ensure delivery meets health, safety, quality and programme requirements
  • Support the development of trainee, junior and technician-level surveyors
The Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ years' experience in land, topographical or measured building surveying
  • Proven ability to deliver topographical surveys independently
  • Experience with measured building surveys using laser scanners and/or traditional methods
  • Strong data processing and CAD skills
  • Professional and confident communicator
  • Strong health & safety awareness
  • Motivated to develop along-term career within a growing surveying business
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs, including Maths & English (Grade C / 4 or above)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to commute to the Yeovil office
