BRAMLEY HEALTH ARE LOOKING FOR A SUPPORTED LIVING MANAGER TO JOIN THEIR TEAM FOR THIS EXCITING NEW ROLE!
We are proud to launch our first supported living service, an innovative provision comprising four self-contained houses, designed to support adults with enduring mental health needs. This service will promote independence, recovery, and community integration, while ensuring individuals feel safe, respected, and empowered. Our Supported Living Manager will take the lead on setting up and developing our first supported living service, a new area of development for the Bramley Health Group.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of the new service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
- Direct day-to-day management of the services, oversee staff performance, compliance, and development of personalised support plans reflecting the needs and aspirations of each individual.
- Utilise experience from managing supported living or domiciliary care services with a strong understanding of CQC regulations and standards; previous experience as a Registered Manager with the CQC.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the services and coordinate its operations.
- Lead and be accountable for the quality of care through regular audits and compliance checks (e.g., medication, health and safety, care plans, COSHH, food safety).
- Deliver efficient systems and working practices to enhance cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of care.
- Ensure all staff are compliant with the company-wide training programme and demonstrate competency to deliver a high-quality service.
- Attend and contribute to key management meetings, including the preparation of required management reporting.
- Collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to provide the best outcomes for clients.
- Train, supervise, appraise, line manage, and retain all support staff for the service.
- Coordinate team rota effectively and ensure coverage.
- Be conversant with the Mental Health Act 1983 and awareness of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- Be conversant with Health and Safety at Work and COSHH Regulations and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ensure CQC requirements are upheld at all times.
- Monitor day-to-day care of all service users and effectively coordinate service user reviews.
- Ensure medication is administered as prescribed and reviewed at appropriate intervals by medical staff.
- Out of hours on-call coverage on a rotational basis.
Core Requirements
- Proven track record as a Registered Manager, running a supported living service within the mental health space.
- Experience in leading and managing care teams and working knowledge of HR procedures.
- Strong communication and excellent customer relations skills.
- Experience of developing person-centred care plans and a strong value base.
- Good understanding of the CQC key lines of enquiry, regulations and experience leading/participating in CQC inspections.
- Good understanding and experience of recognising, reporting and managing safeguarding concerns.
- Desirable: RQF (or similar) level 5 in Health and social care.
