Overview

Are you looking for a new night-time position? Are you a calm, reassuring person who wants to make a difference to somebody's life? Dimensions is seeking Waking Night Support Workers in Weymouth, who will enable the independence of a gentleman in his 20's who lives in his own home.

The gentleman, who is autistic, would like to work with Waking Night Support Workers who will be happy helping him with his irregular sleep patterns. He is happy to meet either full or part-time Waking Night Support Workers.

Responsibilities
  • Encouraging the gentleman to get ready for bed
  • Supporting him to bed
  • Providing reassurance if he is unable to sleep
  • Creating a calming and relaxed atmosphere
  • Undertaking household tasks when the gentleman is asleep
  • Support Workers may also have to assist with meal preparation and prompting the gentleman to attend to his personal care

  • Night shifts are 21.30-08.30
  • 30 days annual leave pro rata with the option to buy and sell leave
