Support Worker (Recovery) – Linwood House, Barnsley
£12.21 per hour – 43.75 average hours per week on rolling rota (Week 1: 3 days; Week 2: 4 days)
Shifts: 07:30 – 20:00

Main Responsibilities of the Support Worker:
  • Offer advice, information, and support to clients, including referrals for aftercare focused on maintaining an abstinent lifestyle.
  • Assist Therapists with risk management plans and reviews.
  • Ensure clients follow program rules, supporting the manager in investigating breaches, including substance testing.
  • Conduct intakes, assessments, and discharges efficiently.
  • Keep accurate client records and maintain databases.
  • Facilitate transfers between agencies and services for clients.
  • Support clients with medication reminders, conduct audits, and maintain accurate records.
  • Work with clients to create recovery plans that are realistic and achievable.
  • Help clients attend external appointments in line with their care plans, providing transport support or accompanying them as needed.
  • Assist with day‑to‑day operations, helping clients manage practical aspects of daily living such as life skills, housing, and benefits.
