A leading social care provider is looking for Bank Support Workers in Reading to assist individuals with mild learning disabilities. You will provide medication administration, personal care, and support daily living tasks. We are looking for Bank Support Workers to join our supported living residential service Prospect Street in Reading RG2. This service is home to 5 people with Learning Disabilities aged 18-42 years, all with a range of different needs and preferences. The people we support like to go into the community for shopping and attend appointments. They like to cook and complete daily living activities. Drivers are required to support the people we support in the community.

As a Support Worker you will be supporting individuals with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and Mild Learning disabilities. The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting individuals to keep in contact with family and friends, accessing the community and attending appointments. We provide support for daily living skills and help support with socialisation.
Ideally the successful person would have a qualification in health and social care (but this is not essential) or will have worked either in supported living settings and / or with individuals with PMLD.
