A local support service is looking for a Support Worker in Sudbury, Suffolk. The role entails providing one-to-one support for two energetic children with Autism, promoting their independence while ensuring their safety. The position requires 5 hours a week during term time and 8 hours during the school holidays, with a pay rate of £12.21 per hour. We are 5-year-old twins, a boy and a girl, one of us has support but we are looking for another extra special support worker who can also be our friend and can provide one to one support.
We are non-verbal and have Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are active, energetic kids who love sensory activities and to be kept busy! We live at home with our mum, dad and older siblings. We are looking for someone who can help with our day-to-day activities and to have 1:1 time with us as individuals, promoting our independence and accessing the community to do things we enjoy. We are looking for someone who is kind, patient, caring, energetic and understanding of our uniqueness.

Hours, days and times of work: 5 hours per week during term time (preferably weekends) and 8 hours per week in the school holidays (flexible).
Pay rate: £12.21 per hour
Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
Sick pay: I do not operate a private sick pay scheme but provided you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
Pension: I do not operate a private pension scheme but I will fulfil my statutory obligations via the NEST pension scheme.
