Job description

This December, why not start a role that makes a real difference? We're looking for Support Workers to join our supported living home in Metheringham, where two ladies and two gentlemen in their 50s and 60s are supported to live fulfilling, independent lives. Metheringham is a village with great transport links, making it easy to commute from Lincoln, Sleaford, and surrounding areas. For this role, you'll need to be a driver with your own car, as driving is an important part of the support we provide. You'll be part of a values-driven team, sometimes working alongside colleagues and sometimes lone working, particularly at night. Shifts are varied to meet the needs of the people we support, including daytime hours, waking nights, and alternate weekends. The people you'll support enjoy cinema trips, meals out, pub visits, concerts, holidays, theatre, TV, and music. One gentleman has a particular love for audio linked to the church and the royal family. Your role will include personal care, stoma care, epilepsy support, manual handling such as pushing wheelchairs, and preparing meals. You'll also follow SALT guidance.

  • A thorough induction and training programme, including the Care Certificate.
  • Access to our award-winning Aspire career development programme.
  • A salary advance scheme (up to 50% before payday).
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support.
  • Discounts and cashback through Rewarding Dimensions.
  • Recognition through our Inspiring People awards.
  • Opportunities for flexible working and long service bonuses.
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be incurred by Dimensions.
  • We welcome applications from everyone who has the right to work in the UK, and value diversity in our workforce.
  • If a driving licence is required for this role you will need to produce a copy of the driving licence at the onboarding stage.
  • As Disability Confident Leaders, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy - Dimensions has been awarded this symbol by Jobcentre Plus to recognise our commitment towards the employment, retention, training and career development of disabled employees.
  • As part of our commitment to making reasonable adjustments we can offer support to complete your application. Please contact the Resourcing Consultant Team on 03003039150.
