A community assistance organization in Southam is seeking a Support Worker to provide personal care and promote independence for a young individual. The role requires empathy, flexibility, and previous experience in childcare or special needs. Successful candidates will support with household tasks, social activities, and community engagement. A driving license is required, and training will be provided.

When you are Required
A funny, placid and happy young person who likes walking but due to hypermobility may need to be in his wheelchair is looking for a PA to enrich his life further. He communicates clearly what he wants but is deaf and non verbal. He loves a Costa coffee and people watching. he also loves shopping and. PA role would be to build confidence and independence. The use of Makaton or BSL would help him communicate better but he is still learning this skill. Would you like to get to know him better, bring more joy to his world and find reward in his company?
Most times some these duties may not be needed but at times they may be required.
The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.
Having any skills with Makaton or BSL will be an advantage.
Successful candidates are required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to the role. Moving and Handling. Training will be provided by the employer.
