Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for a full-time role in Stockport. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to pupils, helping them build trusting relationships. They will work closely with teachers to monitor progress and assist with personal care. Previous experience with complex needs is highly desired, along with recent safeguarding training. This position offers a daily pay rate of £95-£105, depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided).
  • Team Teach Level 2 is highly desired.
  • Previous experience supporting complex needs in a school or residential setting.

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting on behalf of a large SEN provision for experienced support workers. The school supports pupils aged 4‑19 with complex needs and is based in the Cheadle area. This role is full‑time and temp to perm after 12 weeks.

Experience, Training & Qualifications
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)

Eligibility
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child‑related references that cover at least the last two years
