A leading support services provider in Leeds seeks compassionate Support Workers. The role involves providing tailored support to adults with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs. You will work in a supportive team to help residents maintain independence and community connections. Full training is available, and the position offers opportunities for career development in a rewarding environment.
We are looking for caring, dedicated and resilient Support Workers to join our purpose-built residential service supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs. Our modern and welcoming environment includes two self-contained apartments and three contemporary terraced houses, each designed to feel like a true home while promoting independence, safety and personal growth.
Developed in line with the Transforming Care Agenda, our service supports up to five adults across individually designed properties. Each home offers a private bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area, laundry facilities and outdoor space. We provide a person‑centred approach that focuses on empowering each individual while delivering professional and consistent support.
Our service supports adults with autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs, including those requiring additional safeguarding measures or behavioural support. Every support plan is tailored to the individual, taking into account their communication style, daily routines, personal goals, preferences and aspirations.
As a Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, tailored support and encourage independence, dignity and choice in everyday life. You will help residents maintain meaningful relationships with family, friends and the wider community. You will support people to participate in activities, develop skills and build confidence, while assisting with daily living routines in a way that promotes autonomy. You will work as part of a professional and supportive team, all focused on delivering high‑quality care and achieving positive outcomes.
The service is ideally located with excellent bus links and close proximity to a mainline station, making travel to Barnsley, Wakefield, Leeds, Doncaster, Sheffield and Manchester straightforward. Local shops, cafés, restaurants and community services are within easy reach, encouraging residents to take part in everyday activities and maintain active involvement in the community. Family and relatives are encouraged to remain closely involved, helping to build continuity, confidence and strong social connections.
You will be joining a supportive team environment with opportunities for ongoing training, development and career progression. This is a rewarding role where you can make a genuine and positive difference every day.
If you're looking for meaningful work where no two days are the same — and where you can help people live the lives they choose — we would love to hear from you. Apply today to join our team.
