A community support organization in Lennoxtown is seeking a Support Practitioner to aid individuals in achieving their personal goals. This role emphasizes helping people manage their daily living needs and encouraging their participation in social and leisure activities. No prior experience is necessary as paid training will be provided. The role has varying shifts, including weekends and nights, and requires a positive mindset and good communication skills.

Here at Cornerstone, the support that we provide is centred around assisting individuals to identify and work towards their goals. We work with the individuals to develop personal plans that reflect their choices, individual support needs and capabilities.
You\'ll support individuals to manage their own homes, increase and maintain their independence and encourage and support them with their social, health and wellbeing needs.
Alongside supporting the individuals with all aspects of daily living, including household tasks, medication, meal preparation & cooking, personal care and finances, they all have different hobbies and interests too. We\'re looking for you to bring creativity and enthusiasm into supporting them to access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities and take part in hobbies and interests that are important to them, both within their home and out in their local communities.

You don\'t need experience in care or qualifications to start your career with us. We are more interested in who you are as a person. We\'ll invest in you by providing paid training and we\'ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too.

We’re dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support, so shift patterns will involve early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends, public holidays, waking nights and sleepovers will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
If you\’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
