Qualifications

Job description
Overview

As a Support Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll help transition plans into production, directly contributing to Royal Navy readiness while developing technical and coordination skills through close collaboration with engineering teams. Day-to-day, you'll support refit operations by managing documentation, coordinating repairs and subcontractors, and overseeing Maintenance Task workflows and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Senior Support Engineer in managing all production-related documentation for the refit.
  • Coordinating structural repair data using SharePoint to support accurate weekly reporting.
  • Supporting the creation and control of Maintenance Tasks (MTs) using planning reports.
  • Issuing approved MTs with supporting documentation and ensuring completion sign-off.
  • Coordinating subcontractor activities associated with the refit.
  • This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Qualifications
  • ONC or equivalent in an Engineering or Technical discipline, or relevant experience as determined by the Project Manager.
  • Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with managers and customers.
  • Experience in an engineering or technical environment.
  • Proficient in using company systems and digital tools.
