Lead Support Worker

Railway Terrace - North Tyneside

Temporary (6 to 12 months) full-time (37.5 hours per week) rota working.

Pay: £12.61 to £13.36 per hour (£22,500 to £26,123 per annum) pro‑rate. Great benefits including Health Cash Plan.

Job Overview

Want to be part of a team that really cares and empowers you to change a customer’s life for the better. As our Lead Support Worker you’ll be at the heart of supporting customers with complex needs to develop their skills and live more independently in the community.

Typical day (Coordinator)
  • Creating support plans with customers and coordinating our small team of Support Workers working to the plans.
  • Customer group: Mental health, drug and/or alcohol addiction offenders.
  • Helping customers with daily activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancy and moving to independent accommodation.
  • Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
  • Cuppas chats and catch‑ups; no rushing from one customer to the next; plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues.
What we expect from you
  • Passion to support customers to live their best life working collaboratively with an eye for detail.
  • Experience of creating person‑centred support plans and supporting colleagues in working to those plans.
  • Experience of coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach.
Work details
  • Flexible with your schedule; may need to adapt start or finish times.
  • Work pattern: 3/4 day rota, 8 am‑8 pm, some weekends.
  • Must be able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, complete online learning and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Need an Enhanced DBS check; we pay for that.
  • We are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role.
