A community-focused housing organization in Southend-on-Sea is hiring a Support Assistant. You will provide person-centred support to residents with learning disabilities and mental health needs, facilitating their independence and community integration. This full-time position offers a variety of shifts, excellent training, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 31 days of holiday and a competitive pension scheme.
We are currently recruiting a Support Assistant to join our team in Southend, on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). The service accommodates 13 residents, each living in their own self-contained flats, fostering independence and community. This is a 24-hour service supporting adults with learning disabilities or mental ill health, with a mix of day, early and late shifts and optional sleep-in shifts. The home offers a private garden area and local off-road parking. There is an exciting time to join the service as new activities are being offered by the team.
For the successful applicant, there will be variety in day-to-day work, along with excellent training. You will support residents with person-centred care and provide a choice of daily activities to promote a meaningful quality of life, maintaining and developing independence within the home and enabling access to the community.
