Job summary

An educational staffing agency is looking for a Supply Teacher for Primary and Secondary levels across various locations in Northamptonshire. This role involves lesson planning, student assessment, and classroom management. The ideal candidate should have a QTS or relevant degree and possess effective communication and behaviour management skills. Unqualified: £110 to £168 per day.
Qualified: £261 per day depending on experience and school.

Locations

Northamptonshire, Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Thrapston, Northampton, Rutland, Lincs, Leics and surrounding areas.

Job Description
  • Fulfil the duties of a Teacher as set out in the School Teachers Pay and Conditions of Employment (this may include planning, preparing and delivering lessons, marking and assessing pupil attainment).
  • Establish a purposeful learning environment.
  • Teach structured lessons/sequences of work which interest and motivate children.
  • Ensure learning objectives are clearly shared with pupils and set appropriately challenging objectives for whole class, groups or individuals.
  • Use a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Be responsible for the safeguarding and wellbeing of children by following and being committed to our and school policy relating to behaviour management, safeguarding and health and safety.
  • Mark and assess pupils’ work, using the school’s monitoring and assessment policies against the learning objectives/outcomes.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment ensuring the smooth running of the classroom.
  • Manage pupils and their commitment to learn with minimal disruption.
Requirements
  • Ideally have your own transport to enable you to get to a variety of schools.
  • QTS / Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or already have experience within a school.
  • Good classroom control / behaviour management techniques.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment.
  • IT literacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Two professional references.
