Supply Chain Planner – Reputable Foodservice Business - South West - £25-28K + Benefits

My client is a well-established Foodservice business who have a fantastic reputation for their top-quality products and level of service which they provide to a number of different sectors.

They are currently seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their team.The successful Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand, managing demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supplier relationships, guaranteeing efficiency across the supply chain while keeping costs under control.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using data and market insights.
  • Manage stock levels to achieve service level targets and minimise waste.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment and resolve supply issues.
  • Collaborate with commercial, sales, and operations teams to align supply with business needs.
  • Analyse supply chain performance, identify risks, and propose improvements.
  • Support projects to enhance systems, processes, and supply chain efficiency.

The Ideal Supply Chain PlannerCandidate:

  • Previous experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or demand forecasting (ideally in foodservice, retail, or FMCG).
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills keen eye for detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer focussed environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
  • Highly organised, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
