Job summary

A leading aviation recruitment firm is seeking a Supply Chain Officer for an 11-month contract in Broughton. The role involves managing supplier performance, risk mitigation, and demand control within the procurement department. Ideal candidates will have solid experience in Supply Chain or Procurement, familiarity with digital tools, and strong problem-solving skills. Contract offered is full-time, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £29 per hour.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement.
  • Experience with MRP and SAP in a manufacturing context.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English at all levels.

  • Manage the supplier portfolio with business tools and digitalization.
  • Anticipate risks and drive mitigation actions.
  • Control demand and forecasts.

Skills

Solid experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, or Design Engineering

Experience of transnational working
MRP expertise and experience of SAP

Good teamwork ethic

Overview

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit several Supply Chain Officers to recruit on an 11-month basis. As the Supply Chain Officer, you will work within the procurement department and drive supplier performances across the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-moving, digital environment.

Role: Supply Chain Officer
Pay: 29 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week, 11-month contract
Location: Broughton
IR35 Status: Inside

Responsibilities
  • Daily management of the supplier portfolio using existing business tools and future digitalization means
  • Anticipation of risks and drive mitigation actions
  • Demand and forecast control
  • Communicate effectively to internal customers, team colleagues and external suppliers
  • Supply chain prioritisation
  • Challenge Supplier performance where appropriate
  • Lead & Drive Supplier recoveries
  • Understand and define the optimal ordering characteristics and strategy
  • Specify and use of process automation
  • Use data management tools to drive decisions in the supply chain
  • Order Book Management and maintaining MRP Master Data
  • Coordinate Supplier Working Parties
  • Interact transnationally with suppliers (remotely and/or at suppliers) and proactively operate in a procurement community as partner to the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Commercial Buyer
  • Be the 1st point of contact for supply chain queries from operations
  • Own and Optimise Procured Goods Stock
  • Create the future: Support Supply chain and Logistics Transformation projects
Skills/Experience Required
