Job Overview

Supervisory Assistant (PG) – Pentland Primary School

Salary: £25,322 - £25,623 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)

Hours: 6.40 per week, 38 weeks sessional

Pentland Primary School is located in the south west of the city and has a school roll of approximately 500 pupils plus 54 in the nursery.

The school has positive, supportive links with parents, the local community and other agencies enabling partnership work.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support learners in the playground and dining hall.

Work schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday 10:25‑10:45 and 11:55‑13:10
  • Friday 10:25‑10:45
Qualifications
  • Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
  • Preferred candidate will join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • Overseas Criminal Record Check required if you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years.
  • Unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks.
Assessment Approach
