Responsibilities

Job description

Reporting to the Sub Agent, Agent, or Project Manager, you will supervise the delivery of annual programmes of work within the Capital Maintenance Programmes across the following work streams: Active Travel Funded (ATF) Schemes, Local Highways Panel (LHP) Schemes, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Schemes, S106 Schemes, and Surface Water Alleviation Schemes.

The Role
  • Supervision of allocated schemes within the annual programmes of works.
  • Ensuring that projects are developed and delivered safely on time and to budget as per the Works Information.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with Health and Safety Regulations and CDM requirements.
  • Review of Supply Chain Partners Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH for all allocated schemes.
  • Ensure Supply Chain Partners deliver to all agreed standards.
  • Produce weekly progress reports and complete daily site diaries.
  • Supervision of out of hours works either night or weekend working from time to time.
  • Other Ad Hoc duties to fulfil the requirement of the role.

  • Experience working in the construction industry, preferably highways work. (Essential)
  • Good IT, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to provide the best solutions in terms of quality and cost.
  • Apply a systematic and logical approach in order to get things right.
  • Work to a high specification in order to improve and maintain quality.
  • The following qualifications will be an advantage but are not essential. NRSWA Supervisor, SSSTS, SMSTS, CSCS Temporary Works Supervisor, First Aid at Work. (Desirable)
