A large healthcare organization in Wales seeks an enthusiastic Superintendent Treatment/Principal Therapy Radiographer to lead treatment teams. The ideal candidate will enhance clinical services and foster staff development, requiring strong leadership and interpersonal skills. A relevant qualification, along with extensive clinical experience and HCPC registration, is essential. The North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre is wishing to recruit an enthusiastic, suitably qualified & experienced Therapy Radiographer to the post of 8a Treatment Superintendent.
Applicants must be committed to improving the quality of clinical services, motivating & developing staff to enable them to respond dynamically to change. You'll have the opportunity to influence & develop the service working in a collaborative environment.
We're seeking a dynamic, capable person with proven leadership abilities. You'll require excellent communication & interpersonal skills with experience of staff management & must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Knowledge in modern radiotherapy principles & practice gained through extensive post graduate practice & underpinned by continuous professional development is essential.
The department has 4 Varian Linear Accelerators (3 Truebeam, 1 Varian iX) & is about to undergo a period of machine replacement. Additionally, there's a Gulmay Orthovoltage Unit, CanonCT Planning Scanner, Prosoma, & an Eclipse TPS,with Surface Guided radiotherapy systems on all Truebeams.
The department works an extended day & the post holder would be expected to work flexibly within the hours of 08:00 to 18:30 to cover the operational needs of the service & to participate in the on-call rota. Core hours are between 08:30-16:30.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
