Job summary

An established charity in the North East is seeking part-time Substance Use Workers to join their Recovery Service Team. The role focuses on delivering individualised support to those impacted by alcohol and drug use in Aberdeen. A background in Community Learning, Nursing, Social Work, or Counselling is ideal. Experience with substance users and knowledge of effective recovery interventions are required. Essential PVG membership is mandatory. ADA is an award-winning charity, delivering specialist services to reduce harms and promote recovery of individuals and families affected by alcohol and drugs use in the North East of Scotland.

We are seeking a part‑time Substance Use Workers to join our Recovery Service Team, and help us to deliver person centred, effective services to those affected by alcohol and/or drugs across Aberdeen. This posts will be offered on a permanent basis.

We are looking for candidates that have a background in Community Learning, Nursing, Social Work, Counselling, or other related field/s. To be successful you must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the needs of those affected by alcohol or drug use. Ideally, you will have had experience of working with substance users and knowledge of effective interventions.

PVG membership is essential for this post.
