About Greater China Desk team in Subsidiary Banking

J.P. Morgan’s Subsidiary Banking franchise supports the EMEA subsidiaries of global clients by providing integrated banking solutions and leveraging our extensive global network. Our team specializes in serving clients headquartered in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, working closely with colleagues in the Greater China region and product specialists across EMEA to deliver customized financial solutions.

Job Summary

As an Associate, you will oversee a portfolio of Chinese multinational clients with subsidiaries in Europe and the UK, acting as their primary point of contact. You will serve as a vital link between our Greater China and EMEA teams, ensuring seamless client coverage and the effective delivery of J.P. Morgan’s comprehensive suite of products. This role offers significant exposure to cross-border banking, strategic relationship management, and complex financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a defined portfolio of Chinese multinational clients with EMEA subsidiaries, acting as their primary point of contact in Europe and the UK.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support the growth of the Chinese client portfolio.
  • Collaborate with product specialists to deliver integrated financial solutions.
  • Ensure thorough understanding and execution of Know Your Customer (KYC) responsibilities and cross-border regulatory requirements.
  • Support client onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver client service.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Relevant experience in corporate banking, payments, or subsidiary banking
  • Strong understanding of Chinese corporate clients and their overseas banking needs
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin
  • Proven relationship management and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel in Europe as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in corporate banking or payments covering Chinese clients
