Subcontractor Planner

Location: Basildon
Type: Permanent, Full-time, Office-based (8:00am 5:00pm)

Salary: £27,500

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised Subcontractor Planner to join our Basildon Repairs Team. Based in our office, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of calls and coordinating appointments with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and supervisors.

In this role, you will ensure that all future jobs are scheduled to meet contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain clear communication with residents to manage expectations effectively. Using our in-house system, you will oversee subcontractor works, provide updates to clients, and attend review meetings to discuss performance and areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex repairs and handle demanding customers, including those who have experienced service failures, maintaining customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee subcontractor jobs to ensure the same quality of service as in-house operatives.

  • Coordinate with the Commercial team and Operatives to order and collect materials promptly, aiming for first-time fixes wherever possible.

  • Handle calls and emails from clients to log issues, deploy operatives, and provide regular updates.

  • Keep the system up to date to ensure both clients and operations teams have the latest information.

  • Maximise scheduling productivity and efficiency.

  • Schedule follow-on works when first-time fixes are not possible.

  • Monitor case workloads and escalate issues to the Team Leader where required.

  • Plan, allocate, and operate in line with contractual KPIs to exceed client expectations.
