Job summary

A major civil contractor is seeking a Sub Agent for highways in Cambridge. This role brings an excellent opportunity to manage multi-discipline civil projects, where you'll support the Site Manager and grow the engineering team. Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering degree and have main contractor experience on significant projects. This is a great chance to advance in heavy civil engineering with competitive salary ranging from £35k to £45k plus package.

Qualifications

• Candidates should ideally be qualified to degree / diploma level in a civil engineering discipline.
• Previous experience of working for a main contractor on major civil engineering projects is essential.
• Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM Regulations.

AMajor Civil Contractor are seeking a Senior Engineer to work on a project based in the Hertfordshire to work on heavy Civil multi discipline highways projects on a permanent basis and must have a range of different Civil experience and Highways experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager and deputise for short periods when the Site Manager is not available.
• Management of Site Management Plan
• Build, develop, support and maintain the engineering team
• Be aware of responsibilities from the HSEQ policies
• Short Term plans

Required Experience

• Candidates should ideally be qualified to degree / diploma level in a civil engineering discipline.
• Previous experience of working for a main contractor on major civil engineering projects is essential.
• Organisational skills
• Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM Regulations
• Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe systems of work
• Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues
• Experience in construction.
