Overview

Contract Sub Agent - A47 Blofield (Outside IR35)

Location: Blofield, NR13

Rate: £350-£400 p/d (Ltd / Umbrella)

Duration: Until April 2026

We're looking for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major highways project on the A47 at Blofield, where a 5km section is being dualled. The scheme includes significant safety upgrades across junctions, curves, bridges, slopes, medians, and installation of vehicle restraint systems (VRS).

You'll be stepping in at a critical phase, with Blacktop going down and deadlines fast approaching. The team needs someone who can hit the ground running, bring urgency, and keep things moving to get this over the line. You'll have support from senior staff and a team of engineers, but this role calls for a real "get up and do" attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site delivery leadership for the project, driving progress to meet deadlines on a major highways civils scheme on the A47 at Blofield.
• Coordinate with senior staff and engineers to ensure smooth execution during the critical phase of the works.
• Emphasise safety and timely delivery across junctions, curves, bridges, slopes, medians, and VRS installation.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Proven highways (or airport) experience, ideally with Blacktop/Asphalt.
• Knowledge of VRS, safety systems, and civils structures (curves, bridges, slopes).
• SMSTS, CSCS, Safety Critical Medical (Highways Passport can be arranged).
• Strong leadership to drive delivery on site.
