A leading education recruitment agency is searching for a Student Support Officer in Newport. You will support students facing behavioural challenges by working in the Student Support Centre. Ideal candidates should have robust behaviour management and conflict resolution skills. This role will involve collaboration with the inclusion team and maintaining a calm working environment. Applicants must have an NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistance or equivalent and undergo safeguarding checks as part of the job requirements.

In this role, you will be part of the inclusion team, working towards the school’s behaviour management strategy. The ideal candidate will promote positive behaviour, support the Student Support Centre, coordinate appropriate activities, and create a calm working environment for students facing behavioural challenges. We seek an individual with strong behaviour management skills who can effectively bridge the gap between students and teaching staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
