Job summary

A growing engineering consultancy is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join its team in Cheltenham, UK. In this role, you will deliver both building projects and larger survey and refurbishment schemes. You will prepare designs, conduct detailed calculations, and ensure effective coordination with other specialists. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and relevant site experience. Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural design with relevant site experience.
• Working towards professional chartership status.
• Good understanding of basic regulatory requirements, including Eurocodes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline designs for structural schemes based on client briefs.
• Carry out detailed design calculations in accordance with Eurocodes.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines and specialists using BIM.
• Assist in the production of detailed design drawings and specifications.
• Visit sites during the construction phase to monitor progress.
• Undertake structural surveys of existing buildings.
• Analyse and report on structural defects in existing buildings.
• Review project documentation, including contractors' proposals.
