Overview

Structural Engineer — Kent

Salary: £30-£40k (starting salary competitive and determined by experience). A friendly design team, well-established civil and structural design consultancy, is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join in Kent. The office emphasizes communication and teamwork. Our client uses Tekla, TEDDS, AutoCAD and REVIT for drawings.

We offer pension contribution, bonus schemes, flexible work arrangements, payment of professional subscriptions and more. Ongoing support to develop and progress toward Chartership is provided.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in completing designs and contribute to structural engineering projects from inception through to completion.
  • Assist with structural survey work.
  • Help mentor junior engineers, graduates, and technicians.
  • Collaborate with the design team to deliver residential, commercial and mixed‑use projects.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
  • Typically 2–3+ years of experience in the UK.
  • Experience on residential and commercial builds.
  • Ability to complete structural survey work is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience using up-to-date design software and working knowledge of CAD.
  • Ideally local to Kent, but relocation can be considered.
