Overview

Structural Engineer — We are currently working with a forward‑thinking, creative engineering consultancy that is seeking a Structural Engineer with around 2‑4 years of experience to join their team. If you are driven, enjoy solving problems, and want to grow your career in an innovative and supportive setting, this could be the perfect fit.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Running day‑to‑day project tasks under guidance, helping ensure structural design works are delivered on time and to standard.
  • Working alongside Project Engineers, Graduate/Assistant Engineers, Technicians and support staff.
  • Developing structural engineering design solutions including concept through to detail.
  • Coordinating with the wider design team to ensure integration and consistency across disciplines.
  • Producing and managing all drawings and documentation, ensuring they comply with quality management procedures.
  • Monitoring and supporting the work of Technicians and Drafting personnel.
  • Attending client, site, and design team meetings as required.
What We're Looking For
  • A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
  • Approximately 1‑4 years' experience in structural engineering design.
  • Working towards professional chartership (IStructE, ICE or equivalent).
  • Competence in designing with steel, concrete, timber, masonry.
  • Experience assessing existing structures and preparing calculation packages.
  • Experience preparing SER (Structural Engineers' Report) packages for building warrant.
  • Good software skills (structural design tools / CAD / modeling) to support your design work.
