Job Title: Senior Structural Designer / Structural Engineer

Location: Tucker, GA (Suburb of Atlanta) - Relocation assistance provided.

Job Type: Full Time (in office 5 days per week)

Department: Engineering / Design

Reports To: Engineering Manager or Project Manager

Pay: $65,000 - $90,000 based on experience plus quarterly performance bonuses

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Structural Designer / Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of structural systems for a variety of projects including commercial, industrial, and/or infrastructure developments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of structural design codes and standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for buildings, facilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Conduct structural assessments and provide recommendations for repairs or improvements.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, drafters, contractors, and project managers.
• Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and deliverables.
• Perform field visits and inspections to ensure design compliance and construction quality.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 1+ years of structural design experience.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Enercalc, ETABS, RISA).
• Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other drafting/modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.

Experience

• Experience with seismic or wind load design.
• Familiarity with nationwide design practices.
