Overview

Our client, a nationwide Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy, are seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join their Henley office. The role will involve work across a range of projects, primarily in the Residential and Hospitality sectors. The position offers a salary up to £38,000 DOE and a benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Manage resources and tasks to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Shape residential housing developments — support and guide a team of engineers and technicians to bring projects to life.
• Oversee multiple projects and ensure they are completed on time and to high standards.
• Grow as a leader by working independently while mentoring and supporting junior staff.
• Produce detailed substructure and superstructure drawings using AutoCAD.
• Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and act as a trusted voice in the team.
• Respond to technical and construction queries with expertise and efficiency.
• Review and provide input on third-party designs and drawings to shape the bigger picture.

Requirements

• Formal qualifications are advantageous but not essential (HNC advantageous but not required).
• 4+ years of relevant Structural Engineering industry experience.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience using AutoCAD.
• Attention to detail while thriving in a fast, multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to manage several tasks and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Structural knowledge is a bonus (experience with steel, concrete, timber, and masonry is ideal; CAD expertise in related sectors is also valued).
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive approach to work.
