Role Summary and Impact

The Strategy, planning & Innovation team within Mindshare’s Worldwide department is based in our London office. We focus on International / Global client relationships where strategic direction and transformational practices are required at a multi-market level. The team is made up of a suite of specialist practitioners including: Client Leadership, Strategy, Planning, Innovation (Invention & Transformation), as well as connecting to WPP services for further reach into specialist teams such as Activation, Data & Tech enablement.

As a key member of the OpenMind community, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the global strategy and planning team across a range of deliverables, working to connect above market programs and initiatives with our in-market teams, across a range of regions.

Reporting directly to the strategy manager and working directly with the integrated planning partner as well as a wide range of experts and specialists from different backgrounds.

Essential skills & experience:
  • A basic understanding of core media channels and how they work together, with an emphasis on digital channels
  • Experience of working with data – e.g. media performance, audience, CRM
  • Collaboration & relationship building – across internal team, clients and media partners
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT etc)
  • Proficiency/experience of range of planning tools, databases – e.g Audience Origin, Telmar, Audience
  • Databases, dashboards and reporting platforms.
  • Curiosity – an interest in the media & advertising category
  • Working in an above market role on a global account
  • Analytical thinking – ability to work with data & insight to inform planning outputs
  • Good PPT capabilities
  • Media planning & buying experience
Responsibilities:

The role has two distinct areas of responsibilities:

  • Helping with implementation & adoption of Nestle’s Media Principles with the in-market teams.
  • Supporting the strategic leadership & delivery of Nestle’s Joint Business Planning (JBP) partners & partnerships.
  • Support the development and rollout of cross-channel media best practices across paid, owned, and earned channels
  • Assist in creating and maintaining planning toolkits, playbooks, and guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across markets
  • Help gather insights, case studies, and performance learnings to inform and evolve global media principles
  • Coordinate with global, regional, and local teams to track adoption of best practices and support knowledge sharing across categories and zones
  • Stay up to date with platform and channel trends, helping the team embed innovation and executional excellence into strategic planning
JBP & Partnerships:
  • Support the day-to-day management of platform partnerships across JBP partners (TikTok, Meta, Amazon, Pinterest, Google) and emerging partnerships
  • Assist in tracking innovation opportunities and creative initiatives from partners and help coordinate their rollout across teams and markets
  • Help maintain clear and up-to-date documentation on partner activities, opportunities, and performance for the wider Strategy & Innovation (S&I) community
  • Coordinate internal communications and knowledge sharing to ensure teams are informed of the latest platform developments and opportunities
