A local government authority in Birmingham is seeking a Strategic Lead for Affordable Housing Delivery. Birmingham City Council is seeking an experienced leader to.vertical drive the delivery of its Affordable Housing Programme. This is a high‑profile strategic role, responsible for enabling delivery across the city by working with Registered Providers, developers and funders to bring forward new affordable homes.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Housing Strategy 2023–2028, managing the citywide delivery pipeline and influencing senior decision‑making. You will lead procurement processes, secure government funding, and foster strong partnerships to bridge the gap between public and private sectors.
You will be a senior housing professional with deep sector knowledge, strong political awareness and a track record of delivering affordable housing at scale.
