Strategic Head Of Asset Management

Location: Hornton Street, W8 7NX

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 3+ Months 36 hours per week

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00

Pay Rate: £ 545.78 Per Day

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for the council's asset management function
  • Lead and oversee asset management strategies in line with corporate objectives
  • Manage and deliver complex asset-related programmes and projects
  • Ensure effective governance, risk management, and compliance across the asset portfolio
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, elected members, and external partners
  • Support decision-making through clear reporting and performance monitoring
  • Drive continuous improvement and value for money across council assets
Person Specification
Must-Have Requirements
  • Proven senior-level experience in asset management
  • Strong strategic leadership and decision‑making skills
  • Demonstrated project management expertise
  • Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
Nice-to-Have Requirements
  • Experience operating at Director or equivalent level
  • Knowledge of local authority governance and policy frameworks
  • Experience leading organisational change or transformation programmes
