Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Hampshire, are looking for an experienced Strategic Finance Business Partner to join their team and play a crucial role in their financial management operations.

Position: Strategic Finance Business Partner

Rate: £42.74 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)

Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension

Purpose:

• Key focus will be providing strategic and financial decision support to budget holders in managing their income and expenditure, medium term financial plans and financial governance across an area of business. In addition, the role will ensure that all change initiatives are provided with financial modelling support, while also representing the financial impact to the wider organisation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provision of business modelling, analysis of financial risk and dynamic financial management information in support of Service Directors and underpin strong financial performance.
• Acting as finance 'directors' for their assigned Directorate, strategic finance partners cover revenue, capital and balance sheet (cashflow, debt), financial reporting and monitoring (financial accounting) as well leading management accounting activities.
• To identify and propose opportunities for innovation, commercialisation, cost savings, cost recovery or income generation.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Strategic Finance Business Partner role or equivalent.
• Full Professional accountancy level qualification (CCAB).
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
