Job summary

A logistics company in the UK is seeking a full-time StoreKeeper to operate safely within the store and ensure efficient logistics operations. Responsibilities include managing stock, processing deliveries, and maintaining safety standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in warehousing and knowledge of safe handling practices. The role offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from £15.04 to £16.71 and is primarily Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Operate safely within the store, following all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Respond to material requests from engineers, ensuring accurate stock issue.
  • Pick and prepare orders for engineer collections.
  • Receive deliveries of materials, check against delivery notes.
  • Take responsibility for waste streams and dispose of waste properly.
  • Keep the store tidy, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Support the Inventory Controller with accurate stock information.
  • Collaborate with other store colleagues and depot teams.

Great opportunity to work as a StoreKeeper for our client's big logistics company!

Staffline is recruiting StoreKeepers in Shoreham-by-Sea.

The rate of pay is £15.04 - £16.71 per hour.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday and the hours of work are :

  • 7am to 7pm
Your Time at Work

As a StoreKeeper your duties include :

  • Operate safely within the store, following all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Responding promptly to material requests from engineers, ensuring accurate issue of stock.
  • Picking and preparing orders for engineer collections and operational requirements.
  • Receiving deliveries of materials, checking against delivery notes and logging accurately in systems.
  • Taking responsibility for waste streams, segregating and disposing of waste in line with company processes.
  • Keeping the store tidy, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Monitoring stock levels, identifying gaps, low stock, or discrepancies and escalating to the line manager.
  • Supporting the Inventory Controller and Inventory Planner by providing accurate stock information.
  • Working collaboratively with other store colleagues and depot teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
