Overview

Retail Store Manager – Jollyes Pets, Thurrock. Salary £27,011 – 30,322 p.a. + bonus potential of £2-10k p.a. This role manages the daily operations of the store, including team management, store standards, stock management and delivering excellent customer service to our pet parents. Following growth, Jollyes is seeking a Store Manager in Thurrock. The Role – Store Manager

Reporting to the Regional Manager you will be responsible for running a successful store, managing KPIs around people, store standards, customer service standards and financial performance, maximising turnover and gross margin while controlling costs. You will ensure high standards of pet care and welfare, promoting responsible pet ownership. Deliver exceptional customer service with strong pet and product knowledge. You will recruit, motivate, train and develop your team, manage performance, and promote Jollyes as an employer of choice in the local community. Ensure clear communication of key business updates and team objectives.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Passion for pets and people; ability to deliver an unrivalled shopping experience
  • Previous retail store management experience with a hands-on approach
  • Strong decision-making, communication and team leadership; succession planning
  • Proven track record in improving business performance and KPIs; strong health & safety and legal compliance
  • Commercial awareness; P&L management; proactive approach
  • Full-time, permanent position – 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
