This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.
So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.
We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.
The Storage & Distribution team is part of BA Engineering and is the critical link between Supply Chain and the maintenance organisation, moving approx. 700,000 parts per annum worldwide.
Your role will be to lead the Storage and Distribution teams on the engineering base which encompasses 3 stores facilities and numerous tool compounds where high value aircraft spares and tools are receipted, stored and issued to enable aircraft maintenance.
It is a 24hr, 365 days a year operation run by a team of 50 colleagues across 4 shifts, each led by an experienced supervisor.
We work in a highly regulated business where it is vital that processes and procedures are followed to keep people safe and information accurate to enable the timely flow of materials across the network for aircraft maintenance.
We are looking to transform the S&D team over the next few years by rebuilding capacity, embracing new technology, taking on new tasks and finding ways to continuously improve. This will require someone who can engage with colleagues, embracing and developing their ideas to deliver better ways of working.
