Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a part-time Stock / Finance Administrator to support commercial operations in Preston. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail-driven, responsible for maintaining accurate stock records and supporting month-end processes. Title : Stock / Finance Administrator / Controller (part-time)

Salary : £31,500 - £35,000 per annum (pro-rated for 20 hours, approx. £20,000)

Location : Preston - 4 Days in Office, 1 Day WFH (4 hours per day)

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Stock Administrator to support their commercial operations and finance processes. This part-time role is ideal for someone with strong numerical accuracy and experience within stock, finance, or administrative environments.

Working 20 hours per week, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock records, supporting month-end processes, and assisting with customer order and invoice queries.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate daily and monthly stock reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Complete monthly material mass balance checks, ensuring all stock movements are recorded within month-end deadlines.
  • Coordinate month-end activity across sales, supply, stock, and purchasing to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Support customer order processing, including order entry and resolving order and invoice queries.
