A healthcare organization is seeking a Procurement Assistant to support clinical consumables management at Airedale General Hospital. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, possess strong customer service skills, and be skilled in inventory management. The Procurement Department at Airedale General Hospital is part of AGH Solutions LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
The Procurement team provides services to both Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. The team pride themselves on providing excellent customer service and supporting frontline patient care across all clinical departments.
We are looking for an individual to support the management of clinical consumables in a busy hospital that provides essential medical care for a population of 200,000 people.
We are looking for an individual who is a confident communicator, both face to face and over email/telephone. Excellent customer service skills are essential. We are looking for someone who can prioritise essential tasks and understands the principles behind Just In Time ordering and Materials Management. The role will also be key in supporting the development of the Trust's Inventory Management System.
As well as having excellent communication skills, you will need to be computer literate on software systems such as Microsoft Office, be confident in reviewing data and be confident working with new systems and hardware.
Your main responsibilities will be ordering of goods for the Trust, in particular for clinical areas, which would involve visiting the ward areas and counting stock as well as managing inventory systems and supporting waste reduction through improving stock management efficiencies.
