Job description

Fraser Edwards is looking for four motivated Stock Condition Surveyors to join our Asset Strategy team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support a major social housing investment programme of up to £200 million per year, helping to improve the quality, safety, and sustainability of housing stock.

As a Stock Condition Surveyor, you will play a key role in gathering accurate property data, maintaining asset records, and supporting survey and investment planning activity through your technical expertise.

Key Duties
  • Carry out stock condition surveys across a range of social housing properties
  • Accurately record, update, and validate property stock data
  • Apply technical knowledge to ensure survey data is accurate and reliable
  • Support improvements in asset intelligence to inform investment planning
  • Contribute to the development of short- and long-term asset strategies
Experience & Qualifications Required
  • Proven experience carrying out stock condition surveys within social housing
  • Experience supporting planned maintenance or investment programmes
  • Ability to identify property and customer needs and recommend practical solutions
  • Experience working with property data, including analysis and interpretation of survey results
  • Strong knowledge of housing standards and legislation, including:
    • Decent Homes Standard
    • Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
    • Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act
    • Gas Safety Regulations
    • Legionella Regulations
    • IEE Electrical Regulations
  • Minimum HNC/HND in Construction or a related technical qualification
