A healthcare facility in Kettering is seeking a Sterile Services Technician to assist in the sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical devices. This part-time role requires working 07:00-15:00, Monday-Friday. Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, and distributing processed items throughout the hospital. The successful applicant will receive full training and be expected to follow all Decontamination compliance policies. Candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
The duties of the Sterile Services Technician are to assist in the safe process of decontamination and sterilisation of medical devices and surgical instruments throughout the hospital and external customers. The successful candidate will receive full training via our departmental induction programme and must comply with, maintain and uphold all aspects of Decontamination Compliance ISO-13485 relevant to their grade and position. This is a part‑time position. Hours are 07:00‑15:00, Monday‑Friday (37.5 hrs per week).
An “On Call” system is provided for all out‑of‑hours departmental / Trust cover. You will be expected to participate after training. Depending on service needs there may be a requirement to work across both the Kettering and Northampton hospital sites.

Where a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check is required, the applicant will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£49.50) and this amount will be reclaimed from the first salary. New starters are required to join the DBS update service with an annual cost of £16.
