Overview

Randstad require experienced Steel Fixers to work on a prison in Nottinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Reinforcement Preparation: Cutting and bending steel bars and mesh to the exact shape and size required by engineering plans and blueprints.
• Installation: Placing and securing the pre-cut steel components to form the reinforcement skeleton for concrete structures, such as foundations, beams, floors, and walls.
• Assembly: Tying together the steel bars and mesh using wire, clips, or other fasteners to create a cohesive reinforcing structure.
• Quality Control: Ensuring the steel is positioned correctly and secured to meet the specifications outlined in the construction drawings for structural integrity.
• Collaboration: Working effectively with engineering designers, steel erectors, and other construction workers to ensure the smooth execution of the project.

Qualifications & Start

Must have the relevant CSCS and Quals, DBS will be required. Immediate start, long term.
