Job summary

A London based accounting firm is seeking a Statutory Accounts Manager to produce year end financial statements and improve internal processes. Candidates must be ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified with 4-5 years UK practice experience. This role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the Central London office.

Overview

Statutory Accounts Manager — 60k-65k

Hybrid working (3 days in the Central London office)

Halliday Marx have partnered with a London based accounting firm to hire a Statutory Accounts Manager on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Producing year end financial statements for about 150 SME's
• Improve internal processes for accounts production
• Review VAT returns and corporation tax returns
• Communicating with an outsourced tax firm and applying key criteria
• Assist Business Line Manager in training and developing our Accounting teams
• Use of Iris Accounts Production, Sage 50c and QuickBooks Online to maintain books and produce trial balance, profit & loss
• Processing monthly payrolls including general payroll queries and related issues
• Preparation of HMRC related returns including monthly PAYE/NI submissions and quarterly VAT returns
• Effectively manage the workflow of assistants
• Admin and any other ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified
