Overview

Are you a tidy, disciplined and organised individual? Are you looking for an entry level role into the rail sector?

If so, TXM Recruit are working in partnership with a high-profile railway client who are looking for a Station Service Technician based in Leicester on a contract basis paying £13 per hour.

To ensure the train station remains clean, safe, and welcoming for passengers and staff by delivering high standards of cleanliness throughout all areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring platforms and other public areas are safe and tidy at all times, keeping walkways, car parks and platforms free from rubbish.
• Making sure all equipment, chemicals and other substances are handled, used and stored safely and in accordance with instructions and regulations.
• Provide assistance to customers in a safe manner if required to do so.
• Adhering to all Rules, Regulations and Instructions applicable to the task or activity being performed. This includes local safety instructions and systems of work.
• Adopt and operate safe systems of work.
• Reporting any hazards, accidents, faults or unsafe acts to their line manager or to Control immediately.
• Monitor security and act on any breach immediately.
• Carry out small maintenance tasks if and when required.
• Carry out winterisation procedures as per guidelines agreed with your Line Manager.

• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours (early mornings, late evenings, weekends).
• Clean Driving License is required(essential) - Travel to Leicestershire stations.

Main Details

• Job Title: Station Service Technician
• Location: Leicestershire - (Main Station - London Rd, Leicester LE2 0QB)
• Contract: 3-6 Months
• Pay Rate: £13 per hour (circa £25,000 annually)
• Hours of Work: Full Time - 37 hours per week. Working 5 out of 7 days including some weekends. (Flexible with morning, afternoon, evenings, and weekends shifts - rota basis)
