Job description
We Are Hiring – Band 5 Staff Nurse, Emergency Department

Please note: A live UK NMC PIN is essential for this role. Newly qualified nurses are not eligible to apply at this time.

NHSGGC is one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK. We care for people from a wide range of communities and backgrounds, and our Emergency Departments and Acute Assessment Units are some of the busiest in the country.

We are now looking for experienced and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our emergency care teams.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are passionate about urgent and emergency care, and want to make a real difference to patients who are unwell or deteriorating, we would love to hear from you.

We’re looking for nurses who are:

  • Confident, compassionate, and flexible
  • Keen to grow and learn professionally
  • Committed to providing excellent patient care
  • Able to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Important: You must include your NMC PIN in the membership section of your application. If not, your application will be considered incomplete.

It’s a bonus if you have experience with:

  • Taking blood (venepuncture)
  • Cannulation
  • Giving IV medication

If you don’t have these skills yet – don’t worry. We’ll help you develop them through training and support.
