Job Summary

A fantastic opportunity to join Unplanned Services in the Community to work as part of the Community Urgent Response Team. This role supports the national mandate for a 2‑hour urgent response and other community services, providing telephone triage for patients registered with North Lincolnshire GPs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide telephone triage services within a 24‑hour, seven‑day a week shift rota.
  • Signpost patients to the most appropriate health and social care services.
  • Complete required triage training and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of patient IT systems.
  • Assume responsibility for shift duties when in charge.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Level 1 Registered Nurse (Diploma or degree in nursing).
  • Minimum five years post‑registration experience; at least six months relevant specialty experience for a desirable track.
  • Face‑to‑face or telephone triage experience.
  • Post‑registration qualifications or ongoing mentorship (ENB 998, mentorship award or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of patient IT systems and triage training.
  • Experience as Clinical Supervisor (desirable).

  • Band 5, fixed‑term 9‑month contract.
  • Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 a year pro‑rata.
  • Full‑time or part‑time shifts, rotational.
  • Location: Global House, Ridgeway, Scunthorpe (DN15 7BH).
