At the CAMHS PICU, the nursing team is central to delivering high-quality inpatient care, and we are recruiting full- and part-time Staff Nurses to join the Meadow Unit.
You will work within a skilled multidisciplinary team to provide safe, well-planned, and compassionate care. We support nurses at every stage of their career--whether you are newly qualified and developing core mental health skills or an experienced practitioner seeking new challenges. Nurses from all fields, including mental health, learning disability, and paediatrics, are welcomed to ensure holistic care for young people.
You will be guided in building therapeutic relationships with young people and their families, and training will be provided to develop both individual and group therapeutic skills. We are committed to nurturing nurses to deliver thoughtful, responsive care when it is needed most.
Leadership development is also encouraged, with support to build confidence in shift management, team coordination, and supervising junior staff. Reflection is integral to our practice, and the Meadow Unit offers a structured weekly programme of reflective spaces to provide ongoing supervision, support, and professional development.
All nurses at the CAMHS PICU will be encouraged to develop areas of specialist interest and be provided with many opportunities for research. You will be motivated and dynamic about service improvement and passionate about providing quality and creative care to adolescents.
