About the School

Prospero Teaching is looking for a confident and energetic Sports Coach for a school in Wythenshawe. You will need to deliver PE sessions and coaching sessions in the gym, taking students to sports activities such as boxing and trampolining. You must be confident in implementing the school sport programme effectively, promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles and be a perfect role model for pupils who are disengaged with their studies.

The school serves students in a secondary school who may have difficulty studying in a mainstream school and some with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The provision supports a range of needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, Asperger's syndrome, speech and language difficulties and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Responsibilities
  • Deliver PE sessions.
  • Provide coaching sessions in the gym.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • Previous experience delivering sports sessions.
  • GCSE Maths and English and computer literate.
  • Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year.
  • Team Teach qualified (or signed up to attend with our agency).
Eligibility
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child‑related references covering at least the last two years.
