A specialist education provider in Manchester is seeking a proactive Sports Coach to join a SEMH provision. You will work full-time, building relationships with students and promoting engagement through sports activities. Preferred candidates will have a strong coaching background and experience in SEMH settings. Starting ASAP with competitive pay based on experience.

Overview

Sports Coach - Manchester: Prospero Teaching are currently seeking passionate and proactive teaching assistants with sports coaching backgrounds to join a specialist SEMH provision in Manchester, on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, encouraging progress and development
  • Supporting pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups, incorporating sports, to encourage engagement
  • Developing an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils in the classroom
Position Details
  • Position: Sports Coach
  • Location: Manchester
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full-Time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £95 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Long-Term, Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications
  • Experience within a SEMH provision is highly desired
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • A strong background in sports and coaching is required
  • A resilient, proactive and positive nature
Eligibility
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
